Turret or Strut mounts

My upcoming project of installing the poly bushes has me thinking about something. The poly bushes should tighten things up down below but has anyone considered how much deflection there is in the stock rubber strut mountings? I have a new set I got from Rimmer years ago, as a may as well, when ordering some other parts. Wonder if they would be an improvement over the originals?

I just knew someone would post a picture of a coilover setup. Congats on being the first Beans and a nice setup. That is a true work of art. Unfortunately, I have already spent my budget on winter project parts. I'm awaiting the Quaife as we speak. I, like Moe, am interested if that camber plate would work with the stock struts.

I suppose I was just doing a little daydreaming. It just seems strange to install a strut brace and they are still mounted in a hunk of rubber.

Top mounts in my case are more or less an integral part of the strut. Also you'll need to modify the top of your strut tower to get access the adjustment bolts. But AST can supply top mounts to order ...
I think K-Mac do a top mount that fits straight into a TR7.

Not at all, a strut brace will eliminate the body flex, making the car more stable.

Here's my K-Mac setup from above & below.

The kit allows for 1.75 deg of negative camber which is less than I hoped for but you can modify (ie, cut) the sliding plate to allow more adjustment if needed.

A strut brace is definately on my shopping list.
