Has anyone ever put a V8 in a SE Spider?

There was a Spider in England with a 4.6 V8 built by TR Drivers club members Mike Collins and Rod Ambrose in the 90s, think it still survives, was featured in a comparison test with other sportscars in a monthly magazine,

Im not 100% sure I remember right, but I think Woody Cooper dropped a V8 into a Spider some time back. I remember reading an article on it years ago. From what I remember, it was eventually sold and the new owner wrecked it soon after. The car looked great all blacked-out.

If it wasnt Woody, then it was someone I know.
(..or do you mean, V8 from the factory??)

The 4.6 i have seen in Essex.The last owner had it from Rod ambrose,Chris.It was immaculate when i saw it a couple of years
ago.He was gonna sell it,but i have not heard any more about it.
