That looks like a really neat car - shame about the parking brake not being connected.
see that the clock is as reliable as ever!

While the hood is a tad awkward....it's still 100x better than that yellow thing jclay made a thread about!!

Here is the hood that should be on that car. Saw it on Ebay a couple of years ago.

Errrm, all I can see is a bonnet! Perhaps hood means bonnet in Yankie terminology but here in Blighty it means a soft top.

Nice car though. What a shame he's having to sell it after all that work.

Seems weird to me to call it a bonnet, I keep thinking of girls/women going to church in their "Easter Bonnets". Doesn't seem like a car part at all. I could live with calling the trunk a boot, but bonnet just doesn't seem to fit.

I guess it's lucky I had a picture...

Cheers

nice bonnet [;)] Paul, is it now in your "collection"??

I actually had a good laugh last month at the shop, when an engish bloke walked over to the counter and mentioned to the service writer that his "spanner" light was on and was wondering if it was under warranty??? My poor co-worker was so perplexed, as to what the heck the guy was refering to, (as I chuckled in the background until finally stepping up to help her out....)

Ron

No, when it was for sale it was in Los Angeles, I think. I also recall it got to the point that it was almost free for pick up....I was twitching...

Funny, I just posted this car in the TR7V8 forum. I know this car, it is spectacular, awesome workmanship. He actaully took most parts off a TR8 that was wrecked but felt it would be misleading to change the VIN tag also. The scoop was put on the bonnet to accomodate the high rise and air cleaner. Wish I had the $, I'd own it!
