i'm assuming its our friend Chris Turner with all the great resto work he is doing at the moment it truly couldn't have gone to a better home the little patch up its needs will be nothing compared to what he is doing at the moment.
he was after one a few years ago which went for about £700 so looks if it is he who's won it then he got a good deal aswell..........[;)]

i would love to find out how many were produced/still around i'm assuming but may be wrong that the reg on them had something to do with the dealers they were sent too as i belhive they were made for the british leyland showrooms for the launch of the DHC
mine was just the shell and people tell me a lot of pedal cars got stripped of there chassis for fairground rides and the like
they were made by Hamilton brookes so told on another forum.....
http://www.tr-register.co.uk/forums/ind ... topic=5414
......so any way chris were you the winning bidder??......

Gaz, thank you for pointing out the pedal car on Ebay, your post is where I first saw it. I only put in one bid and hoped it would be enough as I have been been trying to buy one for years.

I have not picked it up yet, a friend of mine is fetching it this weekend. He will probably bring it up to Stoneleigh in March. It will be available for club use and it would be great to see 2 together at Billing for the national weekend. Whatever bodywork it needs will be done as soon as it arrives, it seemed to be in good condition.

It will be nice to see two pedal cars at billing. All we need now is two young volunteers for a race, depending if the two cars are roadworthy for level grass.

ha now that would be something wouldn't it jim only thing mine will be powered by a 6volt battery and motor as it was just the shell when i got it so you can guarantee that pedal power will win lol[;)]
maybe i should look for a higher powered motor lol
