I've asked moderator Ron to fix this. The 1st post has been removed but the poster needs to be nixxed. I'm sure Ron will get on top of this so in the meantime I vote we ignore this miscreant.

Can't the mods do an IP ban on the fool? I moderate on a Toyota board and we PM one of the Admin folks and they can do an IP ban immediately.

Unfortunately, most forums do not give moderators power to disable the account. Typically, you need an admin to perform that function.
Mods powers are usually limited to editing, moving and delteing posts [:(]

In response to JCLAYS PM to me, I've deleted this p***k's posts BUT only TRisha can ban him.
And as highlighted on another thread.. I'm no longer active on here and have therefore asked some time ago to be removed from the mod list to allow an active member to take over the role.
Regards,
John.

Thank you, Johnny E!
I love this Forum and the members just as much as I love my TR7s. We don't need more moderators as too many may curtail the free flow of questions, opinions, answers and comments. It has been shown many times that we police ourselves. The only time our system brakes down is when someone makes a personal attack on another member.
If we engage our brains before we use our keyboards, this Forum will continue to give support to every TR7 owner around the world!

I vote jclay to be a moderator. He seems fairly moderate.
Is this a democracy?
This is just my opinion but the best course of action when we get spammed is to report it to a moderator & then just ignore it. I understand that people are upset about it but why let something like this ruin your day. Creating new threads on the subject makes the impact of this persons inconsiderate actions bigger & prolongs the misery. Once a moderator get 20 emails of complaint then something will be done about it.

We have two threads on the same topic (the spammer). Could a mod please close one of them or join them together? [;)][:D]
I must say that this forum is probably one of the most courteous forums that I have been frequenting. I do not see much need to moderate in this regard... but it does need some help in terms of:
1. Properly defining different forums (what is the difference between the first two forums?)
2. Mods can then move threads as they see appropriate.
After a few weeks everyone should be on board in terms of where they should post.

Boy, go away from the compute a couple of days , anddid I get mail.........[:I]
Sorry for the delays, I've been working late doing some O.T. at the shop, plus the wife and daughter have been busy with the two pc's with homework projects, so not much surf time for me......
Thanks Johnny for taking care of deleting the posts!!
Ron.

Hey, Leon,
Hum? The difference between the first two forum areas? Well, the 1st one on General Wedge Chit-chat is just that. General topics about the cars not specifically doing with the engines. i.e., headlights that don't work, dash lights, horns, shocks, body work and interior. You know, the stuff that plague all TR7/8s.
The second topic is about cars with the 2 liter engines, but not Sprints.
