Randall - did you cut up one of my bumpers? It looks great! and I like it in flat black!

Oh... now I screwed pictures up somehow. But thanks for the tip on how to stack them.

Yes, that is your bumper painted black and the side part trimmed away. Not perfect looking, but close. There is maybe an inch gap on each side between

Also note custom single exhaust, luggage rack removed.

do you still have the luggage rack?

That bumper would have been much easier to ship if I knew you were cutting the sides off. ;)

Randall, that looks really good. What have you fitted to the front?

Tim, any chance that and alternative could be produced where the side aligns with the channel in the quater panel, as per the pic below:

sure, Randall just cut off the original design. You could cut it to any shape from what is shown below.

I'm just sorry I never thought of it, and it looks like a great alternative for my car. Nice work Randall

I made a bracket which attaches to the chassis mounting points and mates up to the flat(top) part of the bumper. There is some high dollar double back tape that attaches the top of the bumper to my bracket. The alignment of the bumper and the side of the car changed a little, but has not moved any more in a year so I have not tweaked it yet.

There are a few things about my bumper that look a little odd. But the original bumper is rather hideous looking IMHO. This one only weighs a small fraction of what the original one weighed too.

I wasn't going to look at this thread based on the topic. Not something I wanted to see.[:D]

Good job on the bumper, would have flowed better if the line followed the line of the rear quarter panel (if that's what it's called.) I am one of the minority who likes the original US bumper even over the UK one with it's multi piece design.
