[:0]Hi - any advice greatly appreciated on my pop-up headlights. I've refurbished them and in trying out the motors they both worked great - individually [:)]. Then I wired them in together, in series, straight from the battery - only one would work at a time [:(]. Does anybody know if the lights are wired in "in-parallel" when fitted to the car, or is there a more sinister reason mine won't work together [}:)]. Thanks, Mac [?]

They have individual circuits with a relay each. The headlight switch effectively switches two circuits on and off at the same time. So in effect when on the car they also only work one at a time but both on their respective circuit.

If you wired the two headlamp units together in series across a 12 volt supply they would divide the available voltage between them and effectively only be working on six volts each.
