Postby TheWedgeShop » 26 Sep 2008 15:04

Taking a trip across the pond next week with a friend. Just wondering if anyone had some suggestions or wanted to give a tour!!! I can provide some TheWedgeshop.com T-shirts as collateral.

Thanks

Robsport are only about 50 miles outside of London - they're always worth a visit!

But if you mean a tour of the sites of London the best thing to do is get an AtoZ street map and go everywhere in the centre on foot. London seems like a really big place but if you break things up over a few days you can see all the West End and the City (i.e. the financial district) has to offer most efficiently. I'd also recommend a walk Eastwards along the river through Docklands to Canary Wharf.

London is an amazing place. I've been just about everywhere in the world and there is nothing else quite like it.

Hi Clint,
The London Eye is a great attraction been on it several times day and night

http://www.londoneye.com/

The historic Tower Of London, contains the crown jewels, more 'BLING' than your average rapper wears!!!

As far museums how about these-

Then of course there is Buckingham Palace, Parliment [V] ,Trafalagar Square ect probaly best all seen from a tour bus, red London one of course.
Covent Garden is cool, street performers, places to eat and drink as well theatres and the London Transport Museum.

Get a tube ticket that allows you to travel all day then you hop on and off at will, nowhere in central London is far from a tube station, and you cant beat that 5pm cattle truck experience as everyone heads for home [;)]
Only live 30miles up the M1, dont get down there that often typical when you have something on your door step!!
You could always join me and Paul W here-
