Your TR7 fails it's MOT on a zillion things - and your main concern is the radio aerial? Hmmmm.

In my opinion, the fewer electrical items there are on a 28 year old car, the less there is to go wrong. Then again I haven't had a radio in it for a few years!

I have central locking though. I can lean into the middle of the car and unlock both doors....

I got one of those from Maplins, works just fine at a good price too.
Hardly ever check to see if it works as i'd rather listen to the 4.6
roar its head off down the Essex A & B roads!!

See ya. Paul

Lol yep the mot is now out of my hands as at the garage now, but noticed this before she went to have her mot and I thought it would pass. How wrong was I??
Must admit I thought it was a good price though.

I had an aftermarket Maystar electric aerial on mine for many years (virtually identical to the Maplin one), but removed it recently because I couldn't get a replacement element for it. (if damaged the element is easily and inexpensively replaced if you can get one). It worked a treat and was very reliable. I was going to buy the Maplin one but instead found a genuine (manual) Unipart original aerial on eBay. Slightly longer it gives great reception with my original radio.

Hope your MOT goes ok Phil - and not too expensive!! Then you can sit back in the car in the cruise at 70mph - and listen to the wireless!
