Exciting day tomorrow - primer

Back in May by step-son came to me saying that he wanted a TR7 for his car. By June there were two sitting in the driveway. Since then we have striped the car of paint, all mechanical components and most of the interior (except the dash), and even had to fix a bit of rust. Tomorrow on goes the primer![:)]
Hopefully the weather says good and we'll have time to spread a bit of bondo and paint it before it gets cool and the car will continue its restoration or the winter.

Good luck with it - really is no use putting primer (or paint) on unless the weather is warm and dry. Where are you in Canada ?

I'm located in south-western Ontario, about an hour north of Detroit. Tomorrow is suppose to be sunny and around 22 degC, which will be nice weather for applying primer.
If I was living back home in Halifax, Nova Scotia, there wouldn't be enough warm days left to even think of applying paint a few weeks from now.

Friday did turn out to be a beautiful day. I was out in the garage by 7 o'clock doing some final sanding and make room around the '7; everything to the other side of the garage. I think my neighbour across the street thought I had gone made when he saw me vacuuming the garage floor.
By 1 pm the plastic sheeting was hanging from the ceiling and the final wipe-down of the body was completed and by 3 pm, 2 L of high-build primer had been applied to all but one door and the underside of the bonnet.
Man, what a task to spray the engine compartment and to get primer everywhere. Fortunately with primer I'm not worried about runs, but I'll have to work on my technique when it comes to applying paint in there.
Saturday was taken up with a Jazz and Blues festival but Sunday found me back at it applying filler, which is not my favourite job. The driver's side fender has several dents to be filled. It's going to be fun shaping the filler to the lines on the fender.
