FI SPYDER has a very good idea about establishing a parts interchange list. I have discovered the heater and A/C components provided to BL and Volvo under different part numbers were provided by the same manufacturer and fully interchangeable. The strut bearing/mount appears to have the same bolt pattern as the TR7/8, and it appears to be a real bearing, not a teflon disk bearing. With the wealth of knowledge that is out there in WEDGIELAND, we should be able to build a rather comprehensive exchange list. I'm just not sure of the foremat. Tag your IT!!!!Cliff

I gave this some thought overnite and a possible format is one that is ever updated and revised topic featuring: part name, part#, source ie Kragens, Auto Zone, O'Rilleys, etc and and any pertinent information as the submitter deems suitable. The sources will be somewhat different on the other side of the pond and that is ok even in OZ and on the Continent. as much as i heard , not 100% shure ,

that moris marina , land rover discovery MK1 and tr7 door handles are the same

one question , if the saab 99 engine is similar to the tr7 , are the main bearings ,and big end bearings the same ???


i have terrible experience with Croatian customs , i payed for the rear bumper plastic cover 90 pounds from rimmer bros , the postage was 72 pounds , the final price when i had the parts in my hands 260 pounds , damn DHL charged me 54 pounds just to go to the customs office that is 5 km away , if i ordered the same part to a friend of mine in slovenia only 40km away i wouldn't pay all of those expenses , and the shipping cost would be way lower because slovenia is a part of EU. DAMN customs

so i need to source as many parts as i can at home because i feel like an idiot to pay such drastic difference in price for the distance of 40 km
