Brits on the Beach, Ladysmith

Postby FI Spyder » 29 Jul 2008 20:31

Well, we had our club show "Brits on the Beach" at Ladysmith, BC on Transfer Beach on July 20th. The weather was perfect, not a cloud in the sky. We had as many cars as we ever had and more public viewing as word spreads from year to year. Only three TR7's and no TR8's compared to 7 TR7's and about 4 TR8's in last year's cloudy event. Always some new cars I hadn't seen before and of course some unique ones missed from previous years for whatever reason. We got 7 new members topping up to 17 for July for a total of 102 as the club seems grow exponentially. Here's the link to the slide show:

Excellent cars - and fine weather. Maybe next year I will get there!

The British contribution to the motoring industry is huge. Why couldn't you keep it going [:(]

We tried. There was a higher percentage of Brtish cars in Victoria than any other city in Canada. Why high tea is served at the Empress Hotel to this day with lawn bowling just behind and crickett played in nearby Beacon Hill Park.[:)]

Too many strikes I'm afraid - and the wheel is turning full circle again ! Winter of great discontent ahead for Gordon Clown.
