My Tr7 was originally Vermilion with the tan interior, this combination I have been told was to order only and the Vermilion shade was different to the norm!,How on earth do I get a match as the Vin plate is missing?.

Try a spray can from Rimmers - and see how it compares. Any shade will have faded a bit over the years anyway.

Find your local paint shop and they should be able to match the right
shade of red to your car.As bmc says,it will have aged, and they can
allow for that.
See ya. Paul

How do you know your vermllion was different from the "norm." Reds fade varous amounts (more than other colours) depending on the amount of UV they're exposed to. If yours was dfferent from standard Trumph vermillon doubt there's any record of paint colour by now.h

I have been told by an ex shareholder of Valentine Paint company that they did a Vermillion in a chalky shade whatever that means, and supplied it to Solihull only,he doesn't know if any cars were actally sprayed with it!.

I think there is only one shade of vermillion used on the TR7. The pinkier shade of vermillion was used on other BL products but not the TR7.
