Location of solihill factory

Postby samco » 05 Jul 2008 08:58

I am currently vising friends in the area and would like to visit the site of the old solihull factory. I understand the old factory was demolished and a warehouse was built on the site called TR7. I have seen pictures of the site but could do with an address. Because I am away from home I don't have my TR7 books for reference. Please help ASAP as we are going out in an hour I will miss my chance as I am off to Billing tomorrow and home on Monday.

If it doesn't fit you obviously need a bigger hammer.

hi samco the tr7 was built at the land rover site best view of the factory is from the gate next to solihull bourgh fc damson lane B91 2PP thats the lane opposite old birmingham airport entrance coventry road. I have worked at land rover on various projects down the years and can remember an engineer telling me tr7 was buit in or on whats is now known as body in white building. i think your thinking of speke retail park liverpool that has various references to triumph. and i think the canley plant has various street names after triumph model im no expert but thats my understanding.

see this link for land rover plant http://wikimapia.org/58185/

good luck have a nice stay.

if you factor in the earth's rotation, we are all speeding
