Interesting find

I removed the drivers seat of my TR7 last night and pulled the carpet up to run the antenna wire. When I lifted the rear edge of the carpet I found a piece of wire similar to a coat hanger.
I pulled it out on an the end was a painted bracket. As far as I can tell it is the bracket that is attached to the edge of the trunk opening for lower end of the manual boot brace. My car has struts so it was never installed. It must have been there since the car was built in 1979.
The best part is my struts are shot and I want to change over to the manual brace any way so I won't need to fabricate the bracket now.
