So I bought a rover bellhousing on ebay last year and it's been sitting in my brothers house until now. Since I'm visiting him in London I thought I would take it home in my bag. Was I wrong..... it's friggin huge!!! I have some pics but I'll have to get them onto the computer and then post them some how. Unlike a t-5 bellhousing that I was planning on using, which is open in the bottom and is fairly light, but this bellhousing covers the whole engine. I wish I could post some pics so you guys could verify if I have the right one.
Anyway I'm leaving Saturday morning so I hope to have it all figured out by then. I will post pics asap.

Does the V8 bellhousing have the clutch fork pin mounted half way up the bellhousing with a steel sleeve for the output shaft?? The more I look at it the more it freaks me out that I bought the wrong one, and I'll have to leave it here and have my bro get rid of it for me. Not only that I'll have to delay my v8 project until I find another one dammit!!!![:(!]
Someone please help me tell me I have the right one lol

Hi Yoke, it sounds similar to the Range Rover one, which is huge too, so hopefully you have the correct one!
Good luck with your project, with a V8 you will have so much bottem enf grunt, its unbelievable...

If it's a TR7V8 you're going to use the bellhouse in you should stay well clear of the 4x4 version! It's much to large to fit in the car!
Here's a pair of pictures showing the one you want:

Yoke, just to get this straight, are you picking this up from the UK to take back to Canada?
If so, there's a couple of housings on ebay.co.uk at the moment for (so far) reasonable prices, might be worth a look?
Oh, and <snigger> at the thread title - 'That's what she said!' [:p]
Childish? Me? Nah...

Yea Red you got it right. My brother is living an London and I'm here visiting. I did buy the wrong one, so I'll see if I can sell it on ebay somehow. I did see the other bellhousings on ebay but I'm leaving tomorrow morning first thing so I'll have to get my brother to ship it over if I win.
Just frusturating when you think you'll have the part you've been looking for and it turns out to be worng.

At least you found out the bad news before you got it across the pond! It will probably be easier to sell in the UK too.[:)]
