crikey the guy is obviously feeling the pinch on the petrol bill on his Aston 18 months ago he wanted a cool £85,000 for this plate recently he was looking for 55K so i gather if you pick it up for less than this it's a BARGAIN [:D]

It's the ultimate plate, for guys like us, but this is where the seller falls down, who would put a £40000 plate on a car worth around say £5000, If it was the ultimate plate for say a £200,000 Lamborghini then maybe!!
It would be like a tramp wearing a genuine Rolex!! Not meaning our cars our like tramps, I'm just trying to make the point!![:)]

This plate isn't only of interest to TR7 owners, what about the millionare called say Tony Rogers[?]

Although have great difficulty grasping why anyone would pay that sort of money for a plate.

Just get some plates made up saying "TR7". Drive around until you get stopped by the law (could be years), and pay the fine after you say "Sorry Officer - I forgot to change them after my las car show".

Even if thet sting you for a massive couple of hundred quid fine, you'll have saved yourself about £54K!

(I've got a lhd '80 TR8 dhc efi.) Dad bought it when the Cambridge student (who bought it in Britain) returned to Uppsala
University - and found out he had nowhere to store it in the Uppsala area. When the 12 month waiting/quarantine
period regarding an 'immigrants car' had passed - dad bought it. It's in pretty good shape, but sure it's seen better
days and have some spots of rust and also a few electric issues that I've promised dad I'll fix this summer.
Having built a car again from the heap of parts he saw my TR8 being in a couple of years ago makes me the perfect
candidate (in dads eyes) for straightening those issues...[:)]
