14" wheels

Hi all

I have a Midget that has a TR7 rear axle. To make life easier I will be redrilling the front hubs to match the rear PCD.

I also need to use 14" wheels to clear my front brakes.

What options do I have in terms of 14" wheels? I don't particularly want minilites, nor am I keen on the 5 spokers (with black inserts).

Any suggestions?

Thanks
Matt

Matt, if you discount minilites & similar styles, then you don't have a great choice left in 14" (apart from Wolfrace of course!). Revolution wheels come up on Fleabay sometimes as another alternative.

The TR7 PCD is not the most common but if you went to 15" wheels then you could use the alloys off the modern MGF, or those from the Montego or Maestro.

Alternative is to get the wheels you want as blanks & get them drilled to the right PCD (which is 95.25mm)

I dont like the original center caps 'cos they stick out too much -
the one in the photo is from Minilite, fits a bit tight, but you wont
loose it!

I quite like the look of the GT6 steel wheels. Are they the same PCD as the TR7s?

And do they do them in 14" does anyone know?

Thanks
Matt
