How to Make a PHOTO Link

Hello,

In the last post, I showed you how to put TEXT in links instead of
long URLs. This time I will show you how to put a PHOTO in to
represent the link. Again, I will be using these { } as a symbol for
BRACKETS[ ]. For this illustration, I will be taking you to my web
site just because it is easy to do.

As before, this is a two-step process. 1st you have to put the URL
inside of the first set of brackets. Here is how you set-up the first
half of the brackets:

{url=â€￾http://web.mac.com/jclaythompson/iWeb/Site/Welcome.htmlâ€￾}

The “=â€￾ tells the code that the next statement is the target URL.
The quotation marks “ “ tell the code that the enclosed statement is
the URL. Without both quotation marks, the code is incomplete and
will not work properly.

2nd you have to place the URL for the PHOTO you wish the viewer to
see. (Remember: Just like inserting a photo in your Topics,
the photo must be in your Album or hosted on a Photo Site on the web.)
Place your cursor between the two brackets like so “]|[“ and
click the insert photo Icon Image in the tool bar.
Now paste in the URL for the PHOTO between the ]|[ for the Image Code.

Here is how the completed statement should look:

{url="http://web.mac.com/jclaythompson/iWeb/Site/Welcome.html"}{img}http://web.mac.com/jclaythompson/iWeb/Site/Belts_files/Small%20Iguana.jpg{/img}{/url}

What the viewer will see is:
Image

Have fun, drive fast & safe, be kewl,
