Has anyone replaced the extrusion on the top of the door card??? Its the piece between the window and the card. Mine are completely shot and look like crap. The rest of it is fine (they are early ones and I don't want to replace them with the later ones with the light)

That was my understanding, that they are held on with staples and possibly glue, so just need to take of nice and careful as not to rip or damage the door cards.
I am in the process of looking at refurbing mine so if you do get any major issues with this I would be very interested in hearing about it.

I"ve replaced mines with strips from other doorcards.
Remove the staples and fit the new one also with staples.
Done with a electric tacker.
One of my doorcards are a bit weak so i fit it with one screw to hold the card against the door.

Has anyone found a source for these plastic trims at the top of the door cards?

The door cards from Victoria British have the rubber as a replaceable strip and held on similarly to the rubber strips on the other side of the door glass that are clipped to the door. They also have the top third or so of the door card with a bonded aluminum plate to prevent the door cards from warping up (the reason I replaced mine as well as the bonded rubber strip deterioration). While more expensive than the ones I got from Rimmers for Yellow TCT they will last a lot longer (no warping) and when the rubber deteriorates, just replace the rubber. They should last the life of the car. One of the few cases where VB trumps UK suppliers.

I know I can buy the door cards from VB. I am looking for the top plastic inner trim at the top of the card. My door cards are perfect except the plastic trim got brittle with age and broke apart. I can't find a suitable replacement. Any ideas?

Yes I replaced mine just used a big staple gun

not a perfect job as my door card had got wet and lost it's shape

I used some fiberglass mat to try and strengthen it a bit

but still does not bend in fully

Insteresting. I attempted to steam mine, then clamped it as it dried to get it back to original shape but to no avail. Got the VB cards on sale flyer. A shame as they looked brand new other than warping and window seal.
