Ouch! 1993

November 1993. A van from the Comet electrical store was parked on a blind corner and tried to do a "U" turn as i overtook him.
This was 2 days after my Father died, so not a good week.
But i won the insurance battle, got £2000, enough for a repair and full respray.

Good point John.
If you look at the first photo, you can see the shape of the internal door bar just below the door handle. It's about 5 inches wide (that's 125mm for the modern people) and runs the length of the door.
