Yoke, thanks for the heads up, but thats about 1,300 miles from me.

We are lucky, as far as Rover SD1s are concerned, we got quite a few
here in Oz. I could pick up a couple of SD1 engines, within 30 miles
of home, for around $100 each.

I have been offered a couple of complete cars for that price as well.
Even a good one is worth less than half the price of a 7.

Hi,
Checking the engine number supplied, 42511745C, makes this a Rover P6 engine esp with that compression ratio. A few draw backs as far as smaller oil pump, cyl heads not as good as SD1 and rope type front and rear oil seals and of course that its at least 30 years old!
Having said that the high compression piston are worth the starting price!
Cheers John.
