No they are all good one of them is part of an overall kit ie side skirts etc but you can buy it seperatly, personally i'd give that a miss.
I like the rally replica myself, which i'm all of them do i've used S+S in the past if you want to chat things over with these guy's give them a call they are very aminable. Robsport the same no hard sale, they'll give you there opinion and send you a photo or two of the different types then it really is personal choice..

i would be carefull about those fiberglass parts, ive bought the rear bumper cover from rimmer, and it looks like some children played with it. connection parts where not even cut out properly, its poorly painted ,so the paint flaked after about 3 months of standing outside ( not even driving)

I have the fiberglass replica of the original. Bought it when I first got the car but never got around to installing it. I don't exactly remember where it came from (I think TRF) but I think I'll stick it on this time around. Far as I know, the fiberglass ones are all that's available.
I too have been disapointed with some of Rimmer's items. I bought a set of NOS USA spec bumpers from them years ago (not cheap plus the shipping) and they too look like they have been tossed about. I complained and they said they are 20+ yo and I should expect some scuffs. Try polishing them they said. Also the big brake kit I got off them included an incorrect brake pipe and the pad retainer clips will require some fileing to fit. The calipers look to be rebuilt but the finish on them is crappy. For the price I expected everything to fit properly and at least appear new like the photo in the catalog. They said it's a kit and that I should expect some minor fitment issues! Sort of like the photos in the fast food restaurants. What you get never looks quite like the photo on the wall. I have been pleased with other items though and some things just aren't available in the states.

Yeah i hear all youre points guys, my Spoiler came with the car it has one or 2 scratches on it but not too bad, i was just wondering what the BL spoiler was like when it was first introuced on the car, it must have been plastic, i shouldnt think it was fibreglass but i could be wrong

Steve, the original 'chin' spoiler was indeed plastic filled with same kind'a foam.Personally i dont like it,but if originality is your thing.... I got a mk 2 body kit spoiler off 'Fleabay'(Rimmers sell 'em for a 'Kings ransome!)and as i sprayed it satin black it to match my cars sills, the finish did'nt have to be 100%.The Original bumper covers were plastic (no longer available new) but later ones are fibreglass and are a 'mare'to fit and paint to look right,i know 'coz some a55hol3 reversed into the front of my auto a few years back. The cover cracked and the metal behind it got dented.Luckily the front panel was untouched.Of course the perpertrater did'nt hang around,so i had to sort it! ImageThis is the mk 2 spoiler, the v8 has a Viper front. Image This is a mk 3 (again rimmers).

See ya. Paul

The only problem with the F/G reproduction front spoilers is that they are too shiny. They are much stronger than the original plastic ones (which have now been reproduced by Heritage ), if you paint the F/G ones with matt black paint they look great. I bought mine from S+S about three years ago and it was a lot less money than the originals.

Mine is fibreglass, only prob with it is that someone who had the car before instead of unscrewing the spoiler to take itr off have just pulled it which as a result has pulled it right through the screws, but i have an idea how to sort, th other thing missing from it are the washers and screws to attach it on with, other than rimmers etc anywhere else sell these at a decent price? By the way Paul love youre 7 and the smart front Fogs, have debated when mine is finished weather to put a pair on did it take any fettling to put them on? my 7 has rear fog but daft as this may sound does the fog ligt switch that operates the rear fogs, operate the front ones to? many thanks for any help

Yeah Steve, the fog lite switch works both front and rear lamps. One click down for front, then fully down for both f and r.To mount front lamps you'll need to fabricate a pair of 'C' shaped brackets and bolt them to valence so that the lamps are where you want them. If John 215 reads this he may be able to advise on correct spacings for legal requirements re mot.To fix your spoiler read my thread in the v8 section 'Damage case',Samco gives top instruction on 'glass/resin repairs.I would get some washers from a diy store and 'glass 'em in to original fixing points of spoiler, its not difficult.

I replaced the fogs on mine with a set of Bosch halogen driveing lamps. They really help light up the road at night.

Hi Paul,
Front fog lamps are not part of the MOT so not tested, however if i noticed one was inop, damaged or appeared to to be way to close to one another then i would issue a advice notice.
I personaly dont like the original front spoiler, it looks too much like a 'add on' almost an after thought. On my FHC i fitted a spoiler supplied by Triumph Tune (now Moss) and blended it into the bodywork. Not only ,in my view, looked better but the ram air effect helped cooling and higher speed stability.Phil (Chunk) has the same fitted to his V8,wrap round with no brake cooling vents.
At the end of the day its a personal taste thing.
Cheers John.

Thanx John,i knew you'd have the answer! Do you have legal fitting requirements if they are driving lites? Steve, you may find the front fogs useful in poor visability,it is a good move if you fit a halogen head lite kit anyway. Yus,the original spoiler does look an after thought as well as the siting of the rear fogs. Image Good, bad, ugly?Legal?

See ya. Paul
