Prop shaft flange torque

Postby jimbray » 16 Jun 2023 07:07

Hi all
I'm trying to find the torque setting for the nut that holds the prop flange on to the diff pinion, I've found the setting for gearbox end (120lb/ft) but can't find the diff end.
P.S. it's a 5 speed and it's the outer nut not the preload nut.
TIA
Jim

According to the TR8 ROM:

Pinion flange to pinion . . . . 16 mm Nyloc nut . . . . . 160 Nm 120 lbf ft

Thanks Darrell I thought it might be the same as the gearbox end but wasn't sure.
