Yesterday, I spent a few hours trying to get the needle on the carb balance needle down from 7.5 for both inlets. After I slackened the nuts on both the throttle and choke bars, I was able to get the gauge down to 5.5 for both. Not too bad. Now the car is running at around 900rpm’s. For the moment, I am going to leave her there and see how she goes. She sounds good when running and she hardly drops when the electric fan kicks in. I will be getting BAL needles to go with my k&n filters, but for the moment there are more pressing jobs to look at. Thanks to everyone who helped, I feel like I would be able to do this again for sure

Off the subject; I see you converted the clock to an oil gauge. I bought an MG gauge, but I don't know what type of sender to use.

What did you use for the sensor?

As to the SU carb setup, try: https://www.skillshack.co.uk/video/su-c ... servicing/

I used a capiliary gauge in mine because I had one in the garage.
