Oh, I like that a lot. The tan top sets it off nicely. Well done!

Hi, thanks for your kind comments guys. John, my friend and I shared duties in the restoration. He runs a body shop business so has all the bodywork/painting skills. We did chicken out and got a trimmer to fit the mohair hood. She will be getting out on the road to some shows over the next few months.

Looks great.
I especially like the treatment of the stock alloy wheels. The best I have seen to my mind.

Hi guys,
thanks Hasbeen, we decided to put a slight twist on the factory alloys with the centres done in a gun metal colour.
Hi Adam, it's Cavalry Blue, one of my favourite Triumph colours.
Hi John, yes I agree. You can't beat the satisfaction of doing the work yourself, however hard it seems at the time. The hood does set it off nicely, contrasting much better than the scruffy old black one that came with the car.
Watch out for the next edition of Classics Monthly magazine as the car will be appearing in an article.
Rich.

Hi, I only have this picture at the moment which doesn't really do it justice. I'll get a better picture when I next get the car out of the garage.

Interesting. I was going to do something similar to my Integra alloys. Metal flake/metallic charcoal on the inner/recessed parts and clearcoat on the silver/flat/outer parts to make the splines/spokes stand out.
The way they are now:

Thanks Simon, should be attending some of the upcoming local shows in it as my red drophead is currently stripped down and undergoing some work. Too many cars and not enough time to work on them all! I may have to sell this one in order to make way for the start of the restoration of the gold drophead. The blue car will be featured in an article in Classics monthly magazine due out later this week.
