I disagree with not buying from Halfords,when the battery on my wife's car died at 19:00 at work one night the world's most expensive new battery was a lifesaver on Halfords shelf.The tools are excellent.Steve..

When putting top nut on the front struts, don't use anti seize grease. I did and had one nut come off 1,000 miles from home. Had to replace it by time I got home. Fortunately had a spare set given to me. There's Loctite on them now.

20 years ago I put so much Waxoyl in to the boot lid, it became far too heavy for the struts to keep up.

Halfords were voted the worst high street retailer in 2012 by the respected "Which" consumer group.
