Headlamp Pod Colour

I am rebuilding on old privateer rally car and I my aim is to eventually paint it the works colours (not sure which flavour yet). Does anyone know what colour the headlamp pod colour was - Matt or Satin Black or something else - Thanks.

Think they were satin black, mainly to stop reflection and easier to keep clean, unlike matt black, but then again I have been wrong before

Thanks for the response Seven - I was hoping it was Satin Black as I have just started the top coat on the first Pod. Can anyone confirm this?
