Door Opener/holder Lever

I forget if I had posted anything like this before. One of my door roller lever openers (driver side) is broken and the previous owner tried to weld it with no luck.

I'm wondering if there is any way to fix this without removing the door, or even an aftermarket "spring" that I can kludge in there. Not worried about aesthetics and it's only a problem when I park uphill..
