Topic 1 help rear brakes

Postby prlee » 14 Aug 2010 19:42

I know this covered many times and a search may help if it didn't time out.

Anyway, I cannot get the rear drums off, I have looked for a rubber grommit coverig a hole through which I can release the self adjustor, but there isn't one.

What can I do - RH drum is rubbing and the MOT is on Thursday?

Hi,

From memory, the brake adjuster is released via a hole in the front of the drum. You will see an extra hole between the wheel nut lugs, rotate this to over the adjuster and release it.

Thanks both, got the search function working and looks like a I need to look at the holes in the drum again.
