Family Forum

Postby jclay (RIP 2018) » 13 Aug 2010 22:43

Hi, everyone,

I know that many of us included our children when reading this site. Our cars are very much a family obsession. I have also noticed over the past several weeks that some have become a bit flippant about the use of words not usually acceptable for a family setting. I would ask that we all think a little bit about what we have typed before we hit the "Post New Topic" button.

Thank you for your consideration,

Clay

Swearing is what separates us from the apes, Clay. It is a sign of advanced evolution.

Pity the Borneo orangutan, with nothing at all to shout when he shears the head off a stuck bolt.

I do agree that we each have a right to say what we want, I don't want to ban any words. We all have rights here. I think I will exercise one of mine.

Clay, if you have concerns you need to discuss them. As much as we respect you we can't read your mind.

As requested, here is the start of the list of words to be banned.

1. Water Pump
2. Head Studs
3. Clutch Fork
4. Rust
5. Steering Wheel Shimmy
6. Window Regulator

I'll stop now to let others contribute their favorite TR7 obscenities.
