VIN PLATES

Postby RUDDY » 31 Jul 2010 13:49

Was looking at the tags on my two cars and noticed a couple of differences,

My March 77 Java Green car has this plate with all the detail filled in (I have ommited the comm number)

My Feb 78 red shell has this plate, noticed the 'paint' box is not stamped at all and the comm number has an 'A' following it

The part numbers on the VIN plate have changed, the weight has gone up, but strange that the colour is not stamped [?]

Cheers, Paul

It must be an old age thing, just had a brainwave, the 'A' on the red cars comm number stands for it being an automatic. [:o)]

I guess they just forgot to stamp the paint letters. Almost as bad as the Piper GTT where they stamped the same VIN number for two cars.
