Cabin/cockpit ventilation

I just noticed the following approach used on jdg941v illustrated below to provide cabin/cockpit ventilation.

It seems it would allow to more V8 induction options withoput losing the fresh air feed to the cab.

Has anyone else tried this?

My TR8 project will eventually use the area at the back of the hood/bonnet to pull air into the carb. This is called "cowl induction". I will most likely do the same as JDG941V, hose for air to the heater core opening.

The phenomenum is caused by a high pressure area at the base of the windshield so the V-8 is actually sucking it way forward. Unfortunately there is a corresponding vacuum at the rear as the gas in the tank is being sucked forward also.[:D]

Beans uses one that feeds from the front of the car.

Had to do that as I couldn't use one of the two holes
(wiring loom and mastercylinders being in the way)

Will probably change it when I start on that car (enlarging the diamter to ø75mm

Don't forget that reproduction floor vents are now available that fit in the foot wells.
