Did you ever have one of those days you set out to be very productive and it ended up being almost a waste?

5 hours and got a gas re-installed minus a filler neck, ate pizza, and decided to screw putting a cut off to the battery...

This happens most days. [:o)] A 30 minute job takes an entire day. Its the (relative) opposite of sex really.

Just keep at it & keep the hammer out of reach. I find the time required to get out from under the car to find a hammer gives me just enough time to cool down otherwise the garage floor gets another chip bashed out of it. [:(!][:)]

I find 30 minute jobs always take 5 hours, I expect it so am not perturbed when it happens and just enjoy it. Besides I'd just be doing something around the house anyways.[:)]

My ex-wife used to call all of my optimistic time estimates "testosterone induced" estimates. I'd still rather think I'm being slightly optimistic, and it took longer because I was being thorough. [:D]

hahaha it wasn't really the gas tank either...

...shocks are on order, figured it would be easier to get them out before the tank was in, so the tank came back out from under the car. Removed the shocks, then put the tank in, Tank took maybe 30-45 minutes really. Found it was much easier to just use an air gun.

Then it was trying to decide how to get the filler neck in. But then it was deciding on how to clean the filler neck...by the end of the day the filler next was wire brushed by hand, wire brushed on motorized wire wheel, sand blasted, coated with tank sealer, uncoated with tank sealer. painted....and inbetween that it was trying to decide wtf to do with a cut off switch in the trunk. lol Just couldn't come up with any ideas that safely prevented anything from bridging the terminal gaps while holding the switch securely while leaving accessibility to the wire connects on the back of the switch.
