Check out Ebay for my TR7

Postby AlisonTR7 » 28 Apr 2010 18:19

Should anyone out there be interested, i'm selling my '7' on ebay.
I'll be soooooo sad to see her go, but we need to reduce our fleet as we've got 3!!
She is'nt getting much use lately cos we tend to drive the Grinnall v8 all the time or my latest edition, my Audi TT! Sorry I don't know how to do the 'thread' biz but mine is the white one from Chippenham if that helps. Go on someone, give her a good home plz!!!

Only three???[:)] I've got six, three running three waiting restoration. I know parking is often a premium in UK but although we have a two car garage we live on the side of a cliff so space is hard to come by. I know the wife would like to get rid of some (guess which ones. ) Our collector Plate program makes it easier to have more cars as $200 gets plates for up to three cars.

Some people change their cars like they change their socks but I always find it hard to sell a car.

Good luck.

Apparently you guys in Alberta have it rough compared to us. As mentioned Collector Plates cost about $200/year. Additional preset replacement insurance can be bought at $5/thouand. I have mine insured for $10,000 for extra $50/year. You can run up to three cars with these plates (on the reasonable assumption you can only drive one car at a time). You have to physically switch plates as you only have two. The cars have to be accepted as a collector car (sending in pictures). The cars have to be original (looking) and in good shape (no rust). No tears in carpets or seats, hood etc. Radio has to be of the period. Alloys have to be of the period and no larger than 1" more than stock. No headers unless the original had them. In the interests of saftey and drivability, brakes may be upgraded, electric fan may be installed. Paint must be of the type and colour (or close to it) available of the period. No mettalic unless it was available in the year. No engine swamps, carb swamps. (A friend put SU's on his Spitfire and has an original dealer sheet saying they were available in Canada on the Spitfire if specifically ordered with them.) A daily driver must be registered by owner. Collector car can't be driven to work or school (what the daily driver is for) but no restrictions other than that including unlimited milage.

Yes indeed it is. I can see why you're sad to see it go. Hope you get a good price and that it goes to an "enthusiasts" home and not to someone that should be buying a Honda Civic (or UK "equivalent") [:)]

Gets my vote, too, Beans.

I was actually looking at you car for my missus Allison but at the last minute she has decided she would like a spitfire [:I] ????

Dont know why i think she wants to be penelope pitstop or something, but you do have a very lovely car.

When you have removed the impossible, the improbible how ever unlikely has to be the truth.
