I wrote in about 18 months or so ago just before my car was caught up in that fire ,and kept simon goldsworthy informed weve had no corospondence for about 10mths,
and about 2wks ago i got an e-mail out of the blue asking a few more questions anyway to cut a long story short SHADOW will be making an appearence should be on the shelves 30th April.......
And to top it off I have apparently won a sealey socket set as he made it Star car [:D][:D]

Its pretty much the same as whats on the tr drivers club website
but whoohoo its in a mag[;)]

It's a nice feeling when you get a mention or photo of your car in a magazine. Star Car makes you a celebrity.........

Look forward to seeing it Gaz. Overall I think Triumph World is a very good magazine now. It had been in the doldrums for years then Ted Connolly started making the required improvements and Simon Goldsworthy has added the finishing touches.

the TR7 has been getting quite a lot of press recently in the mag which is a good thing obviously.
Oh and a few really good write ups just recently by somebody calling himself John Clancy [;)]
its the second one this year if you count the pedal car.
It was nice to see a little write up on Chris T's pedal car in The TR Driver magazine hope you can get it to biiling this year chris.

Id love to bring the pedal car to Billing, Gaz, problem is I wont be able to come in a full size TR as the pedal car wont fit in the boot. If I bring the rally car on the trailer I could fit it in my van.

I know what you mean chris thats the reason why mine never made it to billing last year i was in the Hilux, TR on a trailer and all the gear in the back of the motor, problem is there too bl@@9y big
mine just about fits in the dble bed over the cab in the motrohome, thats sounds wrong i'm not that obsessed[:)]

you guys should install boot lid rack to transport the 1/2 cars
(or invest in a small utility trailer [B)])

the trailer idea is something I have toyed with for some years now infact I was thinking of using the rear end of scrap tr7 to put the little one inside, but the pedal cars are that big I would have had to cut it at the door hindges/front bulkhead that would acount for quite some over hang, on the trailer side of things taking me well over the recomended nose weight on the bar.

As for the boot rack idea thats something I have on the cards I'm thinking of utilising the aley roll bar and boot rack to transport it "piggy back style" bit like a rocket launcher [;)] I suppose that might be quite apt, in line with the old advert [8D]

Alison, I hadn't noticed there weren't any TR7's in the current issue of Triumph World. Stick with it though because Simon Goldsworthy tries to get something for everyone in every issue now.

Oh I don't know john theres not a lot that gets past these guy's when its got anything to do with TR7's
Have you got anything else in the pipeline with them or any other mag we need to look out for
Its always nice to read informed and well researched stuff about the TR7 instead of somebody recreating an article that was wrong ten years ago and mixing it with some more mishmash drivel

Nothing TR7 in the pipeline at the moment though it the next lot of articles are published I'll be working on a Norman Rose series of articles. Norman was the Body Executive on the TR7 so that interview was very interesting. His first job at Standard Triumph was to work on the 20TS (i.e. the TR2 prototype) and then later he was onto the Herald.

Next article should be some 'Ajax' photos supplied by Dave Keepax (who designed much of the TR7 interior amongst a lot of other things including those Lamborghini style TR7 alloy wheels). Ajax was the code name given to the face lift from Triumph 1300 to Dolomite. He carried out that face lift jointly with Giovanni Michelotti in the Triumph Styling Studio. I had never seen many of the photos before.

After that there is an interview with Ralph Wigginton starting with the 20TS but mainly about the development of the Herald.
