Did TR7s or 8s ever come with these lights as original equipment?

Well, Ive only owned 9 or 10 wedges over the last few years. And none of the cars Ive owned either had or showed signs of having, any under hood lighting. In fact, I can honestly say, of all the wedges Ive seen either owned by friends or seen at shows, never seen an underhood light.

Tho, not a bad idea. Thought about hookin one up myself.

You'd think the amount of time the bonnet stays open, engine bay lighting would be standard[:D]

Seriously though, i know of three TR7s and none have these lights. Good idea though as a retro fit.

With the time that most of the bonnets stay open, the lights would run down the battery![:D]

Of course, someone would replace the lights with LED ropes![:p]

Its not that with the amount of time the bonnet is open that the light would run down the battery. The truth is with the amount of time we have to spend under the bonnet lights are not needed, we know the engines so well we could work on them blindfolded, or hood-winked for some of you.
