Hi just put these led bulbs into my dash.
The bigger bulbs are501 T10 W5W 5 SMD LED (Green) Dash Wedge Bulbs501 item number 220571105812. I only put 2 in but they are certainly bright enough. I can see the clocks great now.
The smaller bulbs are 10x T5 / 286 GREEN colour dashboard LED bulbs UK item number 120316876357. They also fit into the switch panel above the cold air vents. I managed to fit all of the bulbs with no problems at all, just a straight swap.
I thought I would need a few (that’s why I ordered 10), till I realised the smaller bulbs in the clocks are for ignition, brake warning etc, so I have ordered some red ones to go behind them. I did put a radio in at the same time and knocked a wire on the rheostat so the dash lights all went out. I did think for a few minutes I had really buggered the job up till I realised what I had done.
The item numbers are on ebay.co.uk. Just thought I would try the bulbs as they were cheap and it has worked a treat[:D]

Its great that has worked out. However, I would be careful about using a LED to replace the lamp behind the "IGN" warning lens. I think the resistance of the bulb that is in use there has a role to play in making that circuit work correctly. Others on this forum may know more.

tr7 wiring more like alchemy than auto electrics.

Looks like you've found some useable LEDs there... What we've been using earlier is a high intensity 9 LED unit
(pictured in this thread: http://www.forum.triumphtr7.com/topic.a ... C_ID=11187 ) for the pod illumination.
And as said before:
NEVER put a LED in the IGN warning light position since that one usually needs to conduct in both directions...

ive tried the smaller lights in the switch panel but have to say they are not as bright as the original lamps so i've no installed them

I just got a short length of those. I was going to try them in the door card lights to see how they looked and also under the dash in the footwells. I got the red ones to try.

I was planning on 3 in the side card lights. Yes you are right they are very bright. I am going with the red to match the red check and red carpet.

I just wanted to chime in and say I did the swap this week. Really straight forward and a simple swap. Used the T10 (4 of them) for the dash, and the T5s for the turn signal indicator and lights above the switch panel. The turn signals can now actually be seen in full daylight, but the ones above the switch panel didn't do much. They're so bright now I might have to actually use the rheostat!
