OK I am on about lights again

once again rear fog lights

and before anybody starts saying put a twin filament in the rear tail lights

Remember I cant do that as I have full led boards in my back lights

so i thought of trying this with high level brake lights

what do you think I have still to see them in the dark

Now two on but still to set the angles in the dark

After all we never use them apart for the m.o.t

I have seen these words many times and can't seem to understand what you mean.
"Rear Fog Lights"
On this side of the pond we only use fog lights to see in front of the car. So, I'm convinced even the TR7 can't go that fast backwards [:D]

I think they look pretty sweet! just one concern though, for something that's supposed to be inside the car they're going to be exposed to everything those rear tyres kick up at them.

Also, doesn't fog lights have have to be a certain wattage and be E marked or something? Most Mot testers probably wouldn't bat an eyelid, if it's on and red when he flicks the switch he's happy.

I'm really diggin those LED clusters though! where did you get them?

they have the makings of a nice idea stevie by that I meen.......
It might just be the angle of the shot but it looks as though one of the lights is just above the exhaust pipe, could maybe do with with a heat shield or something you wouldn't want to melt your hard work,

With all this tweaking of the rear lights what have in mind for the front[;)]

I took it out today into town and it was right up to temperature

and all seems ok as for getting wet we will just need to see

it will not be the end of the world as I only payed Â£10 for both ...[:D] (I'm Scottish remember)

Also took it to the m.o.t guy who said it should be ok but he will talk to the tester on Monday for me.

As for the front I have led bulbs in the side light and indicators

but I might consider putting the same boards I have in the reverse lights in the front side lights as they work realy well

and I am going to upgrade the headlight to 100w neon bulbs

I can get them for Â£10 a pair from a auto wholesale I use

In the UK cars from I think 1980 had to have a red high-intensity rear light on the drivers side.

i'm plannin on either going the same way mac went on his car for foglights but am also going to play about with converting the reverse light on the drivers side with a red lens in the fitting and swap the 5v bulb for the 21v fitted in the fog,

steve, rather than the boards have you tried the led bulbs that fit in the normal bulb holder? and did you make the boards yourself or are they ready made?

Yes I have I have the direct replacement in the front side and indicators

the boards are ready made for emergency vehicle light bars

actually our cars {mine anyways) are already prewired for this, and maybe you've also noticed the fog light switch has two positions....one for the front and the lower one for the rear [;)]

Also a lot of the high end north-American spec Euros like Bimmers, Audi's and such also have these high intensity rear lights straight from the factory.

The idea is to see the car from further away when approaching them during in-climate weather

That is what I was thinking
It is just 100mm away from the tail lights so it would be legal.
Or could you adapt the board to fit inside the original fog lamp?

I think they look pretty good, if you need to get them away from the exhaust, how about mounting them on a set of rear mudflaps?
