The kids don't know.

Yesterday, after my little thrash, I dropped into see my mother.
She's been in a nursing home now, for 3 months. She did still live
in her granny flat, next to my home, until 3 months ago. She was
almost 99 when she had to go where there was a bit more help.
However, as I was leaving, a car with a couple of kids in it, pulled
out of a parking lot in front of me. The kids were staring at the
8. I've been getting quicker with my headlight switch finger, & I
flicked it while they were looking.
The kids today have mostly never seen pop up headlights, at least in
country Oz. When they poped up, & shone at them, the kids were
amazed. They were hanging out of the car, yelling something at me.
I couldn't hear what, over the rumble of the 4.6L, but it was
obvious that they liked it. I hope I didn't get them into trouble.
May I suggest that you flick your lights at the kids, when you get a
chance. They love it, & we just may develop a bunch of youngsters,
with their hearts set on a 7, when they grow up.

I get the same rresult when in a local town parade our club enters every year. They like the all the "baby cars" but watch their eyes go big when you flash the headlights.

It is generally a good thing not to hear what kids yell at you from passing cars. [:D]
Does anyone else occasionally flash their lights by mistake when using the turn signal? Always seems to happen at the wrong time.

I sat behind someone flashing the beams at them repeatedly, as i was looking at the instrument cluster for the cruise control light to come on i didnt notice the driver infront testiculating at me. then i noticed i was pulling the wrong stalk (aint that always the case!) I don't remember seeing the main beam lamp come on either, need to look at that......... that was the other car.
The TR7 with its indicators on the "other" side is a good thing, means you can change gear whilst letting other road users know which ditch you're going to land in.

Yes Peter, the first time I thought something had gone wrong.
It took a minute or so to realise it had happened when I flicked the
indicator.
Being a bit of a know it all, I had not fully read the book, & was
not aware that you could flash the lights.

I find it most disturbing when others are "testiculating at me!
Mind you, one should always be content with pulling the right stalk forgoing all other stalks! [:D]

Wow! And I thought California was a pretty liberal place! I've seen many things, but never this behavior (Darn! [;)]) --and from a moving vehicle no less! [:0] Surely, testiculating in public carries a stiff penalty in the UK.
Rob, just messin' with you.[:)] Cobber, I was wondering how long it would take for somebody to jump on that. Thank you both for the giggles.

A mate of mine suffered from gesticular cancer. He had to have his middle finger removed.

For those of you who are "open minded" and have a childish sense of humour like myself may i recomend Viz Magazine's "Profanisaurus" If you're easily offended or are a grown up then please don't go on Viz's website and look it up[;)]
Talking of stalks, yes i have accidentally knocked the flasher. It's a bit strange because to a passer by it looks like the lamps popped up, the lamps came on and then a fuse blew as they go out but the pods stay up. Is that timer adjustable?
Rob.
