Yes. There was an article on this, i think it might be on jclay's site now (try clicking the link on one of his posts).

You should undo the velcro across the roof, undo the poppers to the outer sides, unclip the roof rail at the front and pull the rail back. As you pull it back lift the rear by the flap at the top of the rear window so that the roof pulls out across the boot and the rail drops in behind the seats. Tidy the roof falt across the boot, fold the rear quarter light sections across towards the centre, then fold the whole roof forward into the well over the rail.

The velcor stops the roof lifting at speed but you cannot fold it with the velcro done up around the frame bar.

I've owned mine since new and still have the original top on.
Somehow, I've managed to get it done all these years without undoing the "hook and loop" from its bar.

(We're real sensitive to the trademark for the hook and loop stuff around our house as my son got attacked by the lawyers for the owners of the Velcro(tm) trademark while he was in high school and used it on a personal website. As a teen he was threatened with a 7 figure lawsuit and wound up having to pay them a settlement to avoid that action).
