Very nice but a rather ambitious price for what is I guess a privateer car. Anyone know any history of the car?

Interesting to see the TR8 badge on the front panel in Speke style lettering - wonder if that was a one off or a genuine decal from the early development of the TR8? Just wondered as Paddocks recently auctioned on Ebay some sets of "3.5 litre" & "V8" decals in the same font which they stated were genuine factory items from the early development of the V8 cars.
