Hi everyone,
does anyone know how to tighten the hand brake of our wedges?

I'm not looking to do a disk conversion i just want to tighten the brake so it will pass road worthy (time constraint).

i want to get my 7 on the road before the 13 of march (its my nanna's birthday and I want to drive it down to Ballina, which is about 2hours dive from where i live)

thanks in advance
Adam [:D]

If the handbrake lever goes up more than a few clicks chances are the automatic brake adjuster ratchets are installed upside down. I have bought 3 wedges and they all were the same, installed upsidedown.

Adam,

I have never done it but I am sure it is in the TR7man.pdf on my download page. Try that.

If your brakes are adjusted properly at the wheels and your handbrake is still too high there is a cable adjustment under the lever above the driveshaft. Make sure the brakes are good at the wheels before taking up any slack here though.

Be careful not to tighten too much. I don't know how many clicks for the TR7 off hand but I decided to tighten up my Toyota's and I wore my brakes out. Turns out it should be set at a sloppy 6 clicks.
