Gearbox to engine cable

Postby nick » 15 Feb 2010 00:10

There is a cable between the gearbox crossmember and the engine. Can someone tell me what the intent was for this design feature?

This was to keep the engine from going forawrd in a front impact. The TR7 engine mounts do not prevent any kid of shear forces just tension and compression.

I prefer the one piece bumpers rather than the three piece other world ones. In the eye of the beholder.
