The car looks like it was built for speed but 111.715 mph for a 1 mile run seems low considering the aero mods when a standard FHC will do 110mph. Is it a straight line or a bent course? How is the 111.715 mph calculated? I must be missing something here.

Yeah, they forgot to mention the 1 mile run was up-hill and the driver weighed in at 45 stone [:D].

why didnt they close up the passenger side and back with fiberglass, or some kind of fabric LMP style , it should help a lot wit aerodynamics,
that hole is just too big to be doing and good.

The car looks stunning, but: I second Markos statement,
they need a big hunking fairing over most of that astronomically sized hole (<b>only</b> allowing for the bare essentials:
Drivers head and [if <b>really</b> necessary] the steering wheel to protrude through it)
plus moving those flat rim covers to the car where they <b>will</b> do a difference
- those fixes done and they'd add 10-15 mph to the figure (<b>if</b> they really have the diff gearing for it...)

On the 900 mile return trip to St. Louis, the Flashback team agreed that the stock 2 liter engine had run as fast as it would go and that 2010 would require a more potent powerplant.

So? How many people have actually tried to set a land speed record in a TR7?

Maybe this guy is the first? It gives you a target speed to shoot at when you go out and try to set one.

Hey Tim it looks like one of your cars???

Maybe the Speedometer in my old tr7 1975 hardtop did not work well
because I would do 115 from Daytona to Miami and acompanied by a chiquibabe all the long . actually i got a ticket .
maybe its the Florida air or I had hurracaine back wind helping me.

No it would not over heat i used the heater .[:D]
