Slow Progress

I'm making good progress - but it always seem slow. I expect another year and a half... If I stay motovated.

Question. I used the strut needle bearings in the top of the turret.
Shouldn't the very top mounting plate swivel freely?
The rubber is dragging against the top cup washer .

It appears that I did everything exactly like you did.
It seems the cup washer has to rest agains the rubber.
The plate will swivel, but not free.

Should the stud of the shock/damper rod turn?
