Swap Meet, PA.

I am just curious.
How many of my USA wedge owners here attend Carlisles' Import swap meet. Its in may this year, Carlisle Pennsylvania. I have ton's of TR7 parts to unload, most being too big to ship without forking out alot of $$ for shipping. Not to mention the hassles of boxing them up for shipment. Im talking Hoods, Bumpers, Trunk lids, dash boards, (TR7)subframes, rearends... etc etc.

I was thinking of loading it all up in my van and carting it out to Carlisle in hopes to sell most of it off. But Id hate to go thru all the trouble and expence if the Carlisle event doesnt get alot of wedge fanatics out there for the Import swap meet. Anyone have any input, do you or people you know attend regularly? I used to do the regular (muscle car) swap meets, and would sell almost all the stuff Id have on hand. But the Import/ British swap's, i just dont know. Thanx J-

Our club has a couple spots reserved from year to year. It's a great time and I need to get there as I've been absent many years. I can't gaurantee you sucess with sales though. You certainly won't get ebay prices but I understand the shipping deal. If you go with the frame of mind that you just need rid of the stuff and price accordingly, you may do OK. Try to get top dollar and you will be hauling it back home. Most are there looking for a bargain.

Oh yeah, prices will be low. I literally have triples of some items. Id like to blow most of it out, not make a ton of $$. Thanx :)

I have been going to Carlisle since 1990 and well the TR7s & TR8s do show up and interestingly enough there are more TR8s then 7s. Typically you will see about 15 TR8s and about 3 to 5 TR7s. As far as the parts go some local guys show up with bumpers, hoods, inteior bit or transmissions but not much sells unless you have turn signal switches or good used trim. If you go I will be hanging out with the TR8 guys and look for the "BAD 8" from Massachusetts.

Dang. Got a lil hopful about this all. I have collected a several sets of doors, hoods and trunks, etc. Stuff is piling up and hoped to unload it. I may have some harder to-find parts in my shop, but probly not enuff to warrant me loading it all up and spending the weekend. Ill have to think about it.

When I was heavy into muscle cars, I used to love loading up my spares and spending the weekend selling during the day and partying at night with the fellow sellers. But i dont quite have the same drive like I used to when I was 25. Its more like work these days LOL [:p]

Windy what do you have? Do you have early front subframes? 4 speed trannys....let me know. I don't mind paying for shipping if they are good parts. I'd rather pay extra for shipping than spend what little time I have traveling to get it. What other bits would you have?

It would be a good idea to advertise here in the parts section. Let people know what you have available.

Do you have any axles with the 3.45 gears?
