List of contacts

I had a thought. Sorry if there is something that already exists and I have not found it, but I was thinking it would be good for us all to compile a list of all the people/places we get to do work on our cars and who we trust with or classics. I know there are the great guys (Rob/S&S) and these guys are the best to work on our cars. But sometimes distance and the nature of the issue may mean that we need to take our cars to a local place. I recently had an issue with my engine which meant that the car was stuck and off the road with no way of moving her. I had to ask anyone and everyone if they know where I could get my engine issue sorted out locally. If there was a list on say here, which was broken down into country, area and so forth with places you can go to, that would of helped me out no end. I did get the answer from one of the guys on here, but this list would have been a fact source of reference.

What do you think guys?

I think thats a great idea, as you say we all know the well known names like Robsport etc but we also might know local garages who dont turn their noses up at classic cars etc. Also maybe independant tradesmen like mobile welders etc who can be very handy.

Cheers!

Totally agree, and if this helps (not a web designer/admin),but perhaps there could be a way to attach it to the already existing "TR7 Map" listed as a topic on this forum,so you get a visual idea of the location (as well as an idea where your fellow TR7 members are to take them out for a drink to thank them![;)])

Attaching it to a map sounds a great idea. How do we get the ball rolling, does anyone know?

Map is quite crowded in areas. Shouldn't be a problem to start new map for that specific purpose.
