temptation too much, !!!!

Postby birminghamtr7 » 04 Jan 2010 22:53

took the 7 out of unit today to do a few mot jobs on my very dull but reliable volvo, felt bad putting it out in the cold any way at 5 i had done and pulled volvo out. poor 7 was covered in ice so i fired it up to pull back in the unit sat there for a few minutes windows defrosted car was warm and snug then temptation started to creep in despite not wanting to go out on our salty gritted roads, i thought i,d just wizz around the estate once just to blow cobwebs off, and estate hadn't been gritted so should be safe. Anyway you guessed it TEMPTATION got the better of me 1 hour later after a tour of Dudley and surrounding areas i returned feeling guilty about treating my baby so bad. Please lord forgive me.
for i may give into temption again.[:D]

Know what you mean. Motoring to the bank, then to Walmart the engine and gearbox warmed up, loosened up, and we cleaved the cold north wind.

Pure magic!

Of course we all understand. I had to go to town yesterday, &
despite the little light showers, I needed my fix, so I took the 7.

There was not enough rain to even think or windscreen wipers, but
there was enough to turn the little dust on the car, to dirty
marks. I'll now have to wash the thing, again.

What a good idea it was to take it, I'll now have to go for another
drive, to dry everything out, after washing her.

The sun was out last weekend so I couldn't resist [:)].
Driving up and down the South Wales Valleys on a sunny, but cold and crispy morning, with the sound of 4600cc of V8 thunder setting off a few car alarms [}:)] [}:)]. Love it [:D].

Took my v8 out just before christmas it was so cold it took a good three miles before it started to fire properly but well worth it :-)

I was invited to play Golf on new years day, took the 7 - it was a bit sketchy on some of the icy roads where the sun hadnt thawed it out but it was worth it. Didnt get to play golf but I would rather be out in the car than loosing golf balls anyday.

We are into a solid week of lake effect snow here in Pittsburgh. Just a couple inches a day but enough to keep the roads well salted and be a general PITA. My two won't be seeing the road anytime soon.[:(] Probably sometime in late March after some significant rain washes the steel disolving chemicals off the road.
