WINDSCREEN WASHER PUMP QUESTION

Postby tr7inc » 02 Jan 2010 17:58

Hi all and happy new year to you all, can i ask a daft question here, just wondered where the correct postion is for the Windscreen washer pump to fit to, ive seen a few 7,s with themn in slightly different locations, and although it may be a daft question just thought id ask, as when i got m 7 the pump itself had ben removed and never refitted and i cant find any locating holes where i think it ought to go, any pics on this would be a great help.

Once gain many many thanks

There should be two holes with captive nuts and rubber surrounds on the nearside bulkhead behind the battery.

For a RHD car you'll have to mirror the picture [;)]

I think they might have been self tappers. Mine had rusted out around the screw so I opened the hole a little and used a plastic wall plug which was a tight fit, then put the self tapper into that.

Originally , there were small plastic or mylon inserts pusdhed into the holes. The screws went into them.
